At Northwest Animal Hospital, our veterinarians and staff are experienced in successfully completing health certificates for Interstate and International travel. Our veterinarians are accredited by the USDA and have assisted clients and pets in traveling to all parts of the world. If you are planning to travel to another state with your pet, check with your airline and regulations in that particular state to determine if your pet needs a health certificate. A thorough physical exam by
one of our experienced veterinarians will ensure that it is safe for your pet to travel. Some pets require medications to travel and may only travel during certain times of the year due to temperature regulations.

Traveling internationally with your pet can be stressful because of the many requirements and regulations. If you are planning to travel with your pet, it is best to schedule an appointment with us as soon as possible. Some countries require testing up to 6 months prior to travel. Most of the international paperwork needs to be completed and filed within a certain time period in order to be valid.
