What makes your business stand out from the competition?

We have so many compliments from our clients about how warm our hospital feels. I believe it’s the people here, the Northwest Animal Hospital team, that makes us different from other clinics. Our team sat down together and created this hospital from scratch by determining our core values; how we wanted to treat our patients and clients and how we wanted to treat each other. As a result, our hospital has a happy energy that clients can feel when they walk in the door.

Our Core Values:

  Connected – We are connected to our clients and patients and always mindfully present. We are connected digitally to make communication easier for clients.

  Respectful – We are respectful to both clients and colleagues, and we respect each person’s role in the hospital.

  Giving Back – We give back to our communities by sharing our time and knowledge. Staff members are encouraged to volunteer and we mentor students whenever possible.

  Positive – Our staff is optimistic and energetic. The hospital has a happy energy because the employees are empowered in their positions.

  Flexible – We are a kid-friendly, diversity embracing and accommodating hospital.

  Balanced – We strive to have a healthy work/life balance so that we can give our clients and patients our best every day.

What’s one thing you’d like our readers to know about you?

We really, really love what we do. Being veterinary professionals isn’t just a job for us, it’s a passion. We don’t really consider it work because we enjoy it so much.

What do you do especially well?

We focus on helping pet owners keep their pets healthy. We are flexible and understand that every family situation and pet is different. By really listening to people, we can provide different options for each individual pet and then work with pet owners to decide on the best treatment plan. I like to think the we care about people AND their pets.

We also believe in donating our time and expertise back to the community. We have donated wellness care to the Plymouth Police K9′s since we opened last year. We also enjoy educating kids about science and veterinary medicine. We’ve gone into schools and given hospital tours to kids. When children come in with their pets for routine exams, we try to include them in the process and make learning and science fun for them.
